National USPAP 15-Hour
This is the National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Course, 15-Hour of The Appraisal Foundation. The 15-Hour National USPAP Course focuses on the requirements for ethical behavior and competent performance by appraisers that are set forth in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). This course in unique in that it is developed by The Appraisal Foundation and is revised on a periodic basis to stay current with the latest edition of USPAP.
Each student will be provided with their own copy of the 2012-2013 USPAP book.
The course material emphasizes the role of the appraiser and the impartiality associated with the role. Special responsibilities of the appraiser with regard to impartiality are explored in detail.
In addition to lectures, the course includes discussion problems that show how USPAP applies in situations that appraisers encounter in everyday practice. These examples address issues frequently experienced by appraisers as professionals in the appraisal of real property, personal property, and business or intangible assets, and in appraisal review.
This courses is designed to aid appraisers seeking competency in USPAP, in all areas of appraisal practice including those subject to state licensing or certification and continuing education requirements imposed by professional organizations, client groups, or employers.
100% attendance is required.
This course is approved by the Nebraska Real Property Appraiser Board for 15 hours of qualifying education or continuing education. Nebraska number Q003.
(As a reminder: Although this qualifying education course can also be used for continuing education credit, The Appraisal Foundation does NOT allow it to be used to fulfill the specific requirement for a 7-hour USPAP Update course.)
This course fulfills the Iowa Real Estate Appraiser Examining Board criteria (modular, AQB CAP approved, approved by the state appraiser board in which they are held) for qualifying education credit.
Appraisers in other states may be eligible to receive qualifying or continuing education credit and they should check with their state appraiser board.
The approval by the Nebraska Real Property Appraiser Board is honored by the Nebraska Real Estate Commission for continuing education for sales persons and brokers and by the Nebraska Department of Property Assessment and Taxation for continuing education for Assessor re-certification.
The Moore Group, Inc. has a licensing agreement with The Appraisal Foundation (TAF) for this course. This is the TAF’s National USPAP course. TAF has been granted course approval through the AQB Course Approval Program.
