Advanced Residential Applications and Case Studies
The Advanced Residential Applications and Case Studies program will elevate the student appraiser’s knowledge of challenging residential appraisal assignments and develop the expertise to recognize and address those situations at the Certified Residential level.
By the end of the course, students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of:
- Appraising Complex Property
- Addressing Challenging Ownership and Market Conditions
- Deriving and Supporting Adjustments
- Residential Market Analysis
- Methodology Appropriate in Challenging Appraisal Assignments

This course is based on the 2008 AQB requirements for Certified Residential credentials.
This course is approved by the Nebraska Real Property Appraiser Board for 15 hours of qualifying education and 14 hours of continuing education. Nebraska number CR008.
This course fulfills the Iowa Real Estate Appraiser Examining Board criteria(modular, AQB CAP approved, approved by the state appraiser board in which they are held) for qualifying education credit.
The approval by the Nebraska Real Property Appraiser Board is honored by the Nebraska Real Estate Commission for continuing education for sales persons and brokers and by the Nebraska Department of Property Assessment and Taxation for continuing education for Assessor recertification.
Appraisers in other states may be eligible to receive qualifying or continuing education credit and they should check with their state appraiser board.
