Real Property Report Writing Update and Case Studies v.2016-17

Nebraska Real Property Appraiser Board approved this course on 1/21/2016 for seven hours of
appraiser continuing education.  
Nebraska Real Property Appraiser Board approval # 2161201.04 (Prior NRPAB approval #C21602).
This seminar fulfills the Nebraska Real Property Appraiser Board requirement for a 
7 hour report writing update seminar.
100% attendance is required.  Suggested materials: 2016-2017 USPAP book.

Course Description:
This course is an intermediate level course designed for credentialed appraisers.
This course will review topics related to:
The 2016-2017 USPAP, Standard 2: Real Property Appraisal, Reporting; and
Common real property appraisal report issues.
It contains USPAP FAQs which relate to real property reporting; and
Case study problems.

Course Objective:
The course objective is for attendees to gain a better understanding of:
What is required in USPAP compliant real property appraisal reports;
The common problems found in real property appraisal reports and how to avoid these issues;
Questions which are frequently asked that pertain to real property appraisal reporting and the answers to those questions.

Timed Outline:
Total course time: 420 minutes (Seven hours).  100% attendance is required.
Breaks will be given during the morning and afternoon sessions.  Break time will not exceed a total 70 minutes (10 minutes/class hour).
Lunch is usually scheduled for one hour.  The time allotted for lunch is not included in the scheduled seven hours of course time.

Section 1
220 minutes
Overview of USPAP Standard 2 Real Property Appraisal Reporting.
Includes case study problems.
Incorporates relevant USPAP FAQs.
30 minutes
Overview of changes to the 2016 – 2017 Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, which impact real property report writing.
Section 2
150 minutes
Discussion of issues often found in real property appraisal reporting.
Includes case study problems.
Incorporates relevant USPAP FAQs.


NRPAB approval #: 2161201.04This seminar is approved by the Nebraska Real Property Appraiser Board for 7 hours of continuing education.  This seminar fulfills the Nebraska Real Property Appraiser Board requirement for a 7 hour report writing seminar.

The approval by the Nebraska Real Property Appraiser Board is honored by the Nebraska Real Estate Commission for continuing education for sales persons and brokers and by the Nebraska Department of Property Assessment and Taxation for continuing education for Assessor re-certification.

Appraisers in other states may be eligible to receive continuing education credit and they should check with their state appraiser board.
